How do I disable Face ID?

While the iPhone’s new Face ID system is more secure, you can still choose to use a six or four-digit passcode instead of having your face be the sole means for unlocking an iOS device.

The technology in your phone is so advanced that it can recognize you even if you are wearing glasses or a hat. The Face ID system projects and analyzes 30,000 invisible dots to create an accurate map of how many facial features there are on each side – including hair style changes! This allows for faster unlocking than before with no need whatsoever by pressing any part against TouchID/Home button anymore because now all we have do when setting up our devices beforehand-the moment they’re ready just let go until hearing “click”.

You can opt to disable Face ID and use the old-fashioned 6-digit passcode option. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap Face ID & Passcode.
  3. Enter your 6-digit passcode.
  4. Tap the iPhone Unlock slider so it is OFF/WHITE.

You can adjust your security settings to make sure that you’re only allowing access when it’s necessary. For example, if someone else is using Face ID and they haven’t entered their passcode yet then no one will be able for both purchases in iTunes or App Store ( unless approved). You could also choose “Lower Limit” so there isn’t a constant worry about missing deadlines because of forgotten passwords!
