JLab Go Air Will Not Connect

JLab is an American electronics firm that was founded in 2005 and is recognised for producing high-quality headphones and earbuds for consumers on a budget.

When it comes to manufacturing budget-friendly devices, this company is definitely at the top of its game.

Of course, this does not imply that their products are without flaws.

In reality, Bluetooth headphones and earbuds in general have a high rate of connectivity difficulties.

I’d be willing to bet that it’s the most common complaint among Bluetooth headphone users.

It’s a topic I’ve come across several times in my study and have had my own issues with in the past.

Fortunately, in the vast majority of cases, the problem can be readily resolved.

Whether the problem is caused by external circumstances (such as a neighboring microwave generating interference) or because you forgot to turn on Bluetooth on your phone, there are quick and simple solutions.

Of course, there are situations when something more significant, such as a damaged internal component, is involved, and these issues are difficult – if not impossible – to resolve.

If something goes wrong beyond the scope of troubleshooting, you should contact JLab’s consumer services for further assistance.

“How come my JLAB earbuds won’t connect?” you wonder.

So, how do you troubleshoot a JLab Go Air wireless earbuds connection issue? What could be the issue with your Go Air earbuds not connecting to your phone? Let’s dig a little deeper into why this is happening and what you can do about it.

JLab Go Air Isn’t Working

Because of interference or a lack of communication from the host device, Bluetooth headphones and earbuds frequently fail to connect (e.g., your smartphone). Resetting your smartphone is a common first step in troubleshooting. Your JLab Go Air wireless earbuds will need to be replaced if an internal mechanism is broken.

The Reliability of Bluetooth Connectivity Isn’t Always Guaranteed

Here’s how it works: Bluetooth’s range is around 33 feet.

In the grand scheme of things, that isn’t much.

While this will most likely work perfectly at home, it will not be as effective when you are out and about.

If you stroll inside a grocery store or go on a jog down a lengthy trial without your phone, your headphones or earbuds will not connect.

Bluetooth devices are susceptible to interference as well.

Because of the waves it releases, even a modest microwave can cause disruptions.

Bluetooth is really useful, but certain environmental variables can prevent it from working properly all of the time.

How Do You Reset JLab Earbuds?

“How can I reset my JLab Go Air earbuds?” you might be wondering. If you’re having trouble connecting your JLab Go Air wireless earbuds to your phone, try resetting them. This will allow you to reconnect.

The reset procedure is straightforward, albeit it differs slightly depending on the device.

Here are some options for resetting your JLab earbuds.

JLab Air is a service provided by JLab (Executive, Sport, and V2)

  1. Place both earbuds back in their cases.
  2. Tap one earbud four times quickly, and it should begin flashing a blue light three times.
  3. With the other earbud, repeat the previous step.
  4. Take them out of the case. They should both begin to flash white and blue, indicating that they have been “discovered” by your device and are ready to be linked.

JLab Air V1

  1. Make sure both earbuds are switched off.
  2. For around 15 seconds, press and hold down one earpiece, at which point it should start flashing white.
  3. With the other earbud, repeat the previous process.
  4. The earbuds will flash blue and white when they are ready to pair.

JLab Epic ANC

  1. In this case, place both earbuds.
  2. One earbud should flash blue three times after seven taps.
  3. Replace the other earpiece and repeat the process.
  4. Taking both earbuds out of the casing is a good idea. They are ready to be associated with your device if they alternately blink blue and white.

Earbuds from JLab are not compatible with each other.

When your JLab headphones don’t appear to want to pair, you might be thinking, “How do I get my JLab headphones into pairing mode?”

It’s not always enough to simply reset your earbuds to bring them back into pairing mode.

“How can I couple JLab Go Air manually?” you might be wondering. If resetting your JLab earphones does not work, you can try the following methods:

  1. Remove your earbuds from their cases and turn them off. Allow them to sit for a minute before turning them back on and removing them from the casing. Place them about 2 inches apart and see if they’ll couple up.
  2. You should not turn the earphones off, but you can place them in the cradle of their case for a minute before removing them. Place them at a distance of less than 2 inches apart until they pair up.
  3. Place your JLab Go Air wireless earphones in the case that came with them. Your smartphone or other host device’s Bluetooth should be turned off. Remove the earbuds from the case and hold them at a distance of less than 2 inches. If they go into pairing mode on your host device, turn on Bluetooth. Regroup them and try again.
  4. Before you remove the earphones from their case, make sure you’re not near any other electronics or devices that may be communicating with your host device or WIFI router. All of these things can cause Bluetooth connections to be disrupted.

JLab Sound Keeps Coming and Going

Is your sound fading in and out at odd intervals? Bluetooth headphones and earbuds are also prone to this problem.

If this starts to happen, here are a few things you can try:

  1. Move in closer to your host device if you’re more than 20 feet away. Smartphones, in particular, should be kept at least a few feet away from your ears. When it comes to smartphones, the closer the better.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth on your host device, then turn it back on after a minute.
  3. Remove the earphones from your ears and place them in the case. Wait 60 seconds after turning off your device’s Bluetooth. Re-enable Bluetooth and remove your earbuds from their case. This could aid in the re-establishment of the connection.
  4. It’s possible that you’ll need to turn off your host device. Try rebooting it to check if the connection is restored.

JLab’s Warranty Protection

Within 30 days after your purchase, JLab will allow you to initiate a return/exchange.

A two-year limited warranty is also included with all of their Bluetooth products.

If your JLab Go Air earbuds are unable to connect due to a manufacturing issue, you can request a replacement using your warranty coverage.

Closing Thoughts

JLab’s earbuds typically perform admirably and are simple to pair with any host device.

I use mine with my iPhone and haven’t had any issues thus far.

However, there have been occasions when I’ve had to reset my earbuds because the connection was weak.

My friend, this is the nature of Bluetooth.
