You may notice that your radio has a louder volume than your Bluetooth speaker at times. As I explain in this post, this can happen for a variety of reasons.
Why Is My Radio Louder Than My Bluetooth?
Because Android devices limit the volume of sound broadcast to Bluetooth audio devices in order to protect your hearing, your radio may be louder than your Bluetooth. Another reason is because Bluetooth compresses files before sending them to the amplifier, which then transmits them to the speaker, or it sends them directly to the speaker. This differs from a radio, which may stream or play audio immediately.
Compression is the process of shrinking the size of files so that they may be sent as signals to a Bluetooth speaker. The quality of the file distorts a little when the wireless technology compresses it, and you may hear the audio at a low volume.
You may, however, correct the issue and enjoy greater sound quality and volume. I’ll explain how to deal with this issue further down.
Is it possible that having the most recent version of Bluetooth will help solve the problem?
Yes. Bluetooth 4.0, 5.0, or aptX can assist improve the quality of audio transmitted via Bluetooth speakers. This necessitates the purchase of a high-end Bluetooth speaker with a robust Bluetooth signal.
These newest Bluetooth versions compress files differently when converting them to signals, resulting in higher-quality music. The latest models, once again, have higher bandwidth and a longer range than the earlier versions.
If your streaming device and Bluetooth speaker both have the latest Bluetooth version and you’re still having problems with low volume, you’ll need to look into other options.
On your smartphone, turn off absolute volume.
Android restricts how loud you may play audio over Bluetooth. This implies that you will still hear low loudness even if you turn up the phone and speaker volume to maximum. The feature was developed to prevent people from injuring their ears when listening to music on Bluetooth headphones.
This was never an issue with wired headphones because you could turn up the volume as loud as you wanted. To get a high volume, you’ll need to turn off absolute volume. You can now change the volume as needed.
The Absolute Volume restriction is only present on Android phones running Android 7 “Nougat” or higher. If your Android is running a lower version of Android, you may not have this issue.

You also need to ensure the two devices are as near together as possible so that the signal is strong and the quality stunning. If the quality of the audio is poor, you might interpret that as low loudness, but that may not be the case.
If you have a WiFi router at home and there are so many devices connected, the wireless network could interfere with Bluetooth, decreasing the quality of the music. Your speaker usually comes with a manual on how to position it. You need to verify your speakers face you and not a wall or any other barriers.
